Intro – Bagan Datoh Homestay

Where can you wake up in the morning, look out your bedroom window and see a display of every imaginable shade of green? Hear the roosters’ cry? Cut your own palm fruit? And discover the goodness of a traditionally-prepared ‘hearty meal”? Where else but on an authentic village property!

Nestled comfortably in the state of Perak, the quaint fishing village of Bagan Datoh is just 2-1/2 hours’ drive from Kuala Lumpur. Right there, where the river Sungai Perak ends in the Indian Ocean opposite the southern (9)nine Pangkor Island. Your homestay programme here enables you to experience the uniquely warm hospitality amid the friendly tropical setting of a time-honoured rural establishment. You will come face to face with the people of the land and be fascinated by their gracious generosity. You will learn about their culture and they will learn about yours too.

Whether you are game for high-packed activity or just want to enjoy strolling along the charming pathways in town, you will enjoy every minute of your homestay experience. It can be as exciting or as relaxing as you want!

How to get there:
Take a leisurely drive from Kuala Lumpur along the NKVE highway and exit at Bidor to savour some good, strong aromatic coffee. While you are there, pick up some of the freshest guavas, starfruits and mangoes in the country. Proceed along the coastal scenic route to Bagan Dato.
